David's Run - April 6, 2008

Mission Statement

The David Gallagher Foundation was established to keep alive the memory and spirit of David Gallagher. David, who died suddenly in 2004, had a strong sense of character with a generous spirit. The David Gallagher Foundation seeks to financially assist organizations that were close to David's heart, especially those pertaining to learning disabilities and epilepsy. The long term goal is to set up a scholarship endowment fund at David's alma mater, Penn State University, for a student with learning disabilities.

Partners for Success

To enhance the ability for the foundation to accomplish its mission, the foundation has joined forces with CURE (Citizens United for Research of Epilepsy) and The Vanguard School, which works with children who have learning disabilities. David benefited greatly from his experience at The Vanguard School and they undoubtedly played a role in his academic success. We are very glad to have both organizations aboard in this endeavor.
