Mission Statement

The David Gallagher Foundation was established to keep alive the memory and spirit of David Gallagher. David, who died suddenly in 2004, had a strong sense of character with a generous spirit. The David Gallagher Foundation seeks to financially assist organizations that were close to David's heart, especially those pertaining to learning disabilities and epilepsy. Thanks to your generosity this year we were able to set up a scholarship endowment fund at David's Alma Mater, Penn State University, for a student with disabilities. Penn State will start awarding scholarships this year and we hope to add funding each year so scholarships will increase through the years.

Partners for Success

To enhance the ability for the foundation to accomplish its mission, the foundation has joined forces with CURE (Citizens United for Research of Epilepsy) and The Vanguard School, which provides comprehensive special education services with a unique focus on the individual child and his or her readiness for life. David benefited greatly from his experience at The Vanguard School and they undoubtedly played a role in his academic success. We are very glad to have both organizations aboard in this endeavor.
